Request a Field Trip

Important Information for Requesting Trips:

  • Day Trip Timeframe - All trips must take place between 9:45am and 1:30pm. The earliest departure time from school is 9:45am and the latest return to school time is 1:30pm. Wednesdays are early release for all students so trips need to return one hour earlier (12:30pm). It is extremely important to adhere to these times to ensure our drivers and buses are on time for their regular AM and PM school routes.
     

  • 10-Day Advanced Scheduling Required - All trips must be entered into TripTracker ten (10) working days before trip is expected to occur. Due to driver and bus availability, this is not flexible.
     

  • School Requestors - Assigned staff at each school request trips through TripTracker. If you do not have a requestor already assigned at your school or if you need to reset your password, please email Rosemary.

 

Signing onto TripTracker:

  • Visit the TripTracker login page

  • Enter your username and password

  • Be sure to uncheck the box in front of "Authenticate using Network Credentials"

You can then request your trips, making sure to add any additional information into the notes.

Field Trip Safety Rules:

The safety of the students is in the bus driver's hands. This requires that the driver's attention be on the road at all times. The behavior and management of the students is the responsibility of the teachers and chaperones. We ask your cooperation in preventing loud or excessive noise and in maintaining good bus etiquette according to the rules as established by the Oregon Board of Education posted in each bus.

 

Please see that your students are ready to return to the bus at the scheduled time. A bus returning late from a field trip will cause the entire afternoon school routes to run late.

It is the intent of the transportation department and your driver, for your field trip to be fun and enjoyable.
